6.27.23 NTX Tribe Maddux wrapped up their Spring 2023 season at the Omaha 11U SlumpBuster World Series where there were 32 teams from multiple states in the 11U division but hundreds of teams overall (huge). The boys played teams from MN, CA (x2), IL, CO, and TN. They were placed 3rd out of 32 11u teams following pool play, made it to the semifinals in the D1 (majors) bracket, and top 4 in the whole tournament. They ran out of steam and lost their semifinal game to a solid Majors CA team (who went on to win it all) with a phenomenal pitcher.
In between games, they found time for fun! The week started with an exciting College World Series semifinals game (LSU vs Wake Forest). They had a great team dinner and celebrated a couple birthdays while watching college baseball!
They had a few hotel pool days, MLB The Show tournaments, pin trading with hundreds of teams, and a make shift game of wiffle ball behind the hotel.
The boys fought hard all season and made huge strides with ability and mental fortitude. Until next season. Welcome to majors baseball boys! Enjoy your summer and thank you families for all your support!

ASA 10u Competitive League Champions
The boys wrapped up a strong regular season focused on development and situational learning. Every player had the opportunity to pitch with emphasis on those that usually don’t pitch in tournaments. Several kids gained live experience at positions they’ve not had much time at or have never played before. We had several hit their first over the fence HR! In all, it was a great season of learning, applying, and seeing the results of their hard work! They wrap up the season with the ASA Tournament championship Thursday night!
These sponsors have contributed to allow our boys the opportunity to participate in ASA’s league play this Spring. These game opportunities will contribute greatly to their development as baseball players and create many more memories this season! Please support these fabulous companies!

Jordan Willis was all over the field this weekend making plays defensively, dealing on the mound, and delivering at the plate! He powered the offense this past weekend batting .667 and an OPS of 1.548. When he wasn’t on the bases he was keeping opponents off the bases including this throw from behind the plate to catch a base runner attempting to steal third! Nice work Dude!
Hudson Gilday took the mound and propelled the Tribe 10U - Maddux team to a 5-2 Victory this past weekend. He pitched a 5 inning complete game with only 1 earned run on 3 hits and struck out 4! We might be seeing this Dude’s name often!

The coaches couldn’t be more proud of the grit and effort this team demonstrated! Not a bad way to start kid pitch baseball!
We are lucky to have a phenomenal photographer on the team who captures such great moments. Here are a few from June's tournaments. Although the Championship games have been JUST out of reach, every day we're building on what we're learning and pushing each other to get stronger!

The Championship game started off HOT. 3 up, 3 down. Defensively the team played their best games in this tournament and the Championship game was no different with a tie game of 5-5 in the 4th. And the 5th. And the top of the 6th. In the end, the Rattlers cross the plate and a crushed NTX Tribe takes 2nd in their last weekend tournament of the Fall 2019 season. Baseball on a school night (especially the first weeks of school) is a new thing for these kiddos, but they battled and came away with a BIG 26-17 WIN. The team rallied as they entered the second inning down by 5 runs. They answered with 4 runs but it still wasn't enough to take the lead. As the game went on, they found their groove, scoring 20 runs total in the 3rd, 4th & 5th innings, holding their opponent to 9 runs across those same 3 innings. Way go start off the season Tribe!
August 9, 2019 | For Fall 2019, Maddux's (2) 7U teams combined to build a solid 13 player roster. This season they also enter into the competitive league for Allen after playing a couple seasons on the rec side. They are excited for their first game scheduled for August 22nd.

Fall brings new tournaments, new competitive teams and a new 8U Team!
6.8.19 | Despite the rain on Thursday, 7U got the W against the undefeated team, 'Thunder', in the semifinals which sent them to the Championship game! Bats were hot and they ended many innings with the 5 run rule, but in the end, the Lonestars came away with the win in the last inning. It was a great game with plays you wouldn't expect from a typical 7U team. Their field awareness and base running made the game exciting and intense! With the regular season over, they've still got their World Series tournament to look forward to in mid-June. Good luck boys and great job in the 8U division this season!
