NTX Tribe is growing in more ways than one as they wrap up 2018.

2018’s Spring baseball season brought back 7 teams from the Fall and added 4 hard hitting teams to make for a very exciting season.

A few highlights:

Adcock's 9U AA team took 1st Place at TS Turf Wars Tournament.

Hudgin's 10U AAA team finished 1st Place in the Bronze Div at OK-TX Shootout.

Dalton/Juarez's 12U AA team played up in the 13U Division and finished 1st Place!

Hudgins 13U AAA team finished Runners Up at the USSSA Gulf Shores, AL World Series.  This series marks the first time a Tribe team was a Finalist at a World Series Event.

Over the Summer, players stayed active and participated in a few tournaments, including the BN June Bug Blast.

The Fall season opened the doors for Tribe’s first 7U team. With Coach Justin Maddux eager to bring his team to a more competitive environment, it was exciting to see them grow their skills and endurance in Allen’s league.  Buttttttt fall ball was wet. Like “Where’s the Ark picking up at?”, WET. DFW received roughly 3” in August, 12” in September and 15” in October. That’s 30 INCHES. That’s almost 7” more than the rest of the year COMBINED. Suffice it to say, conditions were……. fun. Teams took advantage of the indoor batting cages at Southfork Sports Complex several times a week and still landed on top in their leagues as well as many DFW tournaments.

Fall highlights:

Freudiger's 8U team completed an Undefeated Championship season in Allen Competitive League.

Adcocks's 10U team took 1st Place at the TNT Sunday One Day as well as winning the championship game in Allen Competitive League!

Juarez 's 13U AA team played up in the AAA division, short handed, and still finished Champions in the BN Sunday Only Trophy Hunting event.

Tribe’s growth wasn’t just on the field this year. Players, coaches and parents from several Tribe teams came together in December to represent NTX Tribe, working alongside other volunteers at the Toys for Tots distribution center in Princeton, TX.

As they say in Whoville, “their small hearts grew three sizes that day.”

Players sorted, bagged and loaded stuffed animals, toys and more for the children of DFW.

Michael Hudgins, NTX Tribe’s President shares, “I had a feeling the boys would really get into it and I was right!  You could tell in their faces... they knew they were doing something special.  This was our first-time doing charity work as a club and I can easily see it becoming an annual thing. I really appreciate the city of Princeton for inviting us.”

The significance of this opportunity to give back was cherished by the parents who volunteered as well.    Nickole attended with her son, Greyson and said, “It was great to see parents and players come together off the field to help those in need and to see the excitement on the boys faces as they sorted and bagged toys for orders to be filled.”

2018 may be coming to an end, but new things are on the horizon for NTX Tribe as they eagerly await all that 2019 has in store.

Happy Holidays from our Tribe to yours!
